CHS ELAC 2007-2009

Clairemont High School (CHS) is pleased to announce the formation of the 2007-2009 English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). Per SDUSD guidelines, an election for officers was held in December 2007 and the members are:

Yolanda Reynoso      Parent Representative

CHS has over 250 students who are identified as English Learners (EL) according to a language assessment test called CELDT (California English Language Development Test).  Federal guidelines require a school to form an ELAC when it has more than 21 EL students enrolled in a site.  ELAC’s goal is to give meaningful advice to the principal, school staff, and School Site Council (SSC) about instruction and funding for EL programs.
