Student Expectations
At
Farb, we believe that teaching and learning happens best in an environment
that is safe, supportive, clean, and orderly. Therefore, all students
and staff are expected to:
- Be
here, be on time, and be prepared to learn and work hard.
- Show
respect for yourself and others at all times.
- Behave
safely and have respect for the safety of others.
- Show
respect for your school and personal property.
- Bring
all necessary materials to class daily. All students are expected
to have two independent reading books at all times.
- Be
responsible and complete all in class and homework assignments
and meet deadlines.
- Markers,
highlighters, White Out, and scissors are not allowed, and students
will be subject to consequences if they are brought to school.
These items will be provided at school as needed.
- Absolutely
no food or drinks are to be consumed in the classrooms.
- Leave
all distractions at home. Gum, candy, seeds, or unsealed drinking
containers must be left at home. These items will be thrown away
and the teacher will assign consequences. Personal items, including
hats, rags, bandanas, toys, cards, water bottles, water balloons,
walkmen CD's, beepers, stuffed animals, articles that make noise,
scooters, roller blades or skateboards, must be left at home.
Personal items brought to school will be confiscated and may be
picked up by a parent/guardian. The school will not be responsible
for personal items brought to school. Items not picked up
by the last day of school will be donated.
