Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year. We hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing summer. We are excited about having your child on our “team” this year and look forward to taking our students on new adventures in the world of learning. We will be working as a collaborative unit to foster the individual abilities of each and every child in Room 2. We will be sharing the teaching days throughout the school year. Mrs. Moran will be teaching on Mondays and Tuesdays and Mrs. Tatman-Williams on Thursdays and Fridays. Wednesdays will alternate between us. A copy of our schedule will be provided at Back to School Night, Tuesday, September, 22nd.
Pull outs will be different this year. They are arranged in a “block schedule.” Second grade will have pullouts on Friday for science, P.E. and computer. Our times are as follows:
science 9:25
computers 10:30
P.E. 11:45
Library will be Tuesdays at 11:00 and art/music will be Mondays at 1:30. Music/art will begin next week (the week of the 14th).
Open House will be Sept. 22 at 6:20 and another session at 7:00. We look forward to sharing our goals and expectations of second grade with all our wonderful Room 2 families.
