The Financial portion of the DWA project is driven by the following vision to attain the goals and objectives listed below.

· Control expenditures, eliminate surprises
· Gain critical insights and improve decision-making capabilities
Goals
- Provide dependable, efficient, cost effective information to support data-driven decisions.
- Maximize the efficiencies of administration by improving the way business is conducted
Objectives
- Implement a state of the art, Tier 1, Financial System that will integrate all modules: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, General Ledger and Procurement
- Reduce paperwork and manual record keeping
- Provide flexibility to easily implement changes in business practices
- Provide electronic workflow
- Provide automation of manual processes (for example, General Ledger input, Position Control, Grant Management, and so on.)
