DWA-Financial Goals

The Financial portion of the DWA project is driven by the following vision to attain the goals and objectives listed below.

Vision

Support the SDCS Mission and be the investment of choice by
providing a financial management tool to:
· Increase visibility, ensure compliance.
· Control expenditures, eliminate surprises
· Gain critical insights and improve decision-making capabilities

Goals

• Provide dependable, efficient, cost effective information to support data-driven decisions.
• Maximize the efficiencies of administration by improving the way business is conducted

Objectives

• Implement a state of the art, Tier 1, Financial System that will integrate all modules: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, General Ledger and Procurement
• Reduce paperwork and manual record keeping
• Provide flexibility to easily implement changes in business practices
• Provide electronic workflow
• Provide automation of manual processes (for example, General Ledger input, Position Control, Grant Management, and so on.)
