DWA-What it means for students
For the first time, students will be able to view their own information through the web-based Zangle StudentConnection.
Zangle's StudentConnection
StudentConnection is part of the Zangle Connections Series (which also includes TeacherConnection and ParentConnection). The Zangle Connection Series facilitates communication between schools, classrooms, and homes of students and their parents. It allows secured access of student information from home, business offices, or from any remote location with Internet access.
Using StudentConnection, students will be able view their own information online. Key features offered in StudentConnection are listed below. (Note: San Diego City Schools may not implement all the features shown below.)
- Monitor academic progress
- View report card information
- Submit course requests
- View class assignments
Requirements:
As a security measure, to protect the privacy of student information, students will be required to register to use StudentConnection. Each student will have access to only their own information. Each time the student logs in to StudentConnection, the student will be required to supply account information and go through an authorization and authentication process.
StudentConnection requires a computer with Internet access and a web browser such as Internet Explorer 5.0 or better,
Important: Students do not need to have a computer or Internet access at home to use StudentConnection. Computers at public libraries have Internet connections and can be used for free.
