The district's Energy/Utility Management Office, in conjunction with Keep California Beautiful, is conducting a contest to help promote recycling. This contest is open to all staff members, including volunteers, who pledge to recycle paper in San Diego City Schools facilities. Every month on the 15th , two names will be drawn from the pledge cards submitted. Prizes include gift certificates from local businesses such as Peet's Coffee, Hornblower Cruises, San Diego Zoo and El Torito. All administrative sites have pledge cards in their lunchrooms, or you can click here for a pdf of the pledge card, fill it in, print it out and put in the District mail, or you can fax it to Energy/Utility Management Office at 858-627-7414.
