Funds to finance public schools come largely from the state based on the actual daily attendance of our students. Any absences result in loss of funds. More importantly, your child's educational program will be fragmented. We do not intend to invade your privacy when we ask about your child's absence but are required by state law to report the reasons for all student absences. When you don't call us, we have to call you for this information. If your child is late, a class admit slip must be obtained from the office before he/she goes to class. This is because your child's absence may have already been reported and the office needs to correct its records. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
