At Green School, each grade level receives an hour of art instruction per classroom every month. Pat John, a credentialed teacher, comes to each classroom and teaches a different art lesson based on a particular style of art, artist, or art process customized for each grade. Our students are exposed to the works of artists like Picasso, Eric Carle, Matisse, van Gogh, and many others.
Probably not until the end of the year. The teachers will most likely keep the art pieces at school until our Art Gala during the Spring Open House. From among all their artistic creations, each classroom chooses the final works of art they hang in the Art Gala. Our multipurpose room is transformed into an Art Gallery to show off every student's art work; your students will beam with pride as they pull you over to show you what they have created. |
