The Muirlands Middle School PTA includes dedicated parents and teachers working together to educate and enrich the school’s children at home, school and within the larger community. The Muirlands PTA has an annual budget of approximately $9,400, which mainly comprises our families PTA membership dues. Approximately 1/3 of the dues we collect enroll you in the local, state and national PTA. The remaining money and additional donations stay at our school site and directly benefit our children at Muirlands Middle School. PTA funds and volunteer hours are spent on enrichment programs such as the school newsletter, cultural arts, teacher and staff support, library support, student advocacy, teacher appreciation events, and parent education.
Volunteers are the most important component of the Muirlands PTA. You are encouraged and welcome to share your ideas and talents. Volunteer opportunities are communicated via email “blasts,” the school newsletter, and at monthly PTA meetings. Please attend any meetings you can and/or contact the PTA officers and committee chairs to discuss your ideas and learn how to participate in school activities.
