CAMPUS CRIME STOPPERS
How'd you like to make some extra money, while helping to keep your school safe and clean? A call to Campus Crime Stoppers
with information about a school-related crime can earn you up to $1,000, and it's completely anonymous!
How it works How to collect Why bother?
Site Operations Circular/Parent letter
How it works: You call
the Crime Stoppers number
(235-TIPS)
and provide the operator with information about a crime on school
district property or relating to any school. You are then given a confidential code, which will be used to collect your reward. Your name does not
need to be given at any time, and the operator will not know where you're calling from. A reward will only be paid if the information helps to solve
a crime.
How to collect: With the confidential code you are given on your first call, you can call back later and ask the operator about the status of
the case. If a crime was solved or prevented with your information, you will be given instructions to take the code into a bank within the city of
San Diego. There, you will provide the teller with the code and receive your reward, no questions asked. It's that simple!
Why bother? With a call to Campus Crime Stoppers, you can do your part in keeping yourself and others safe. By reporting vandals and
taggers, you can keep your campus clean. After all, it's your school, and you shouldn't have to be afraid or ashamed of it. You can earn
money for your tip, up to $1,000, for helping to solve school-related crime. Instead of "Why bother," you should ask yourself, "Why not?"
