On Tuesday, October 26, 2004, San Diego Charger, Donnie Edwards, visited Wangenheim.

8th grader Jordan B won this privilege in the JC Penny "Take a Player to School" contest.

Mr. Edwards spoke to a group of 8th graders about the importance of setting a goal, even at this young age, and working towards it. He told the students that they are not too young to have a goal in mind and to start taking steps towards that goal.

Then Mr. Edwards answered questions from the students. Later, everyone went outside and Donnie Edwards threw passes to students. Fun was had by all! Look for a broadcast of this event on the NFL Network.
